Join CHI St. Joseph Children’s Health on September 29, 2022, as we welcome Ms. Stephanie Beatriz to our Conversations about Healthy Communities series as we explore the nature of and nurturing of healthy communities. Learning from Ms. Beatriz’s experiences, we will discuss her vision of a healthy community; the challenges she has witnessed as communities have worked toward healthier, empowering cultures, the examples of successes she has witnessed, and her thoughts on how communities locally, across the United States and throughout the world can strive to create environments where every child, resident and family can thrive.

  • Time: 5:30 PM VIP Reception (VIP ticket required); 7:30 PM Conversation (VIP ticket holders will have the opportunity to join Ms. Beatriz in a more intimate setting at a reception preceding the conversation. The VIP reception Location will be announced closer to the date of the event. Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served.)

About Stephanie Beatriz

A natural talent with a striking presence, Stephanie Beatriz continues to skillfully navigate the entertainment industry with an array of versatile and complex roles defining her body of work. Featured as the voice of Mirabel in Disney’s Encanto, 2021 also included a featured role as Carla in Jon M. Chu’s film adaptation of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s play, IN THE HEIGHTS along side Jimmy Smits and others as Ms. Beatriz built upon her already long list of acting and directing credits including her role as Detective Rosa Diaz in the beloved comedy series Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

As a bisexual Latina, Beatriz is known for her outspoken advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights and queer representation in the entertainment industry. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband.

The eighth installment in the conversation series hosted by CHI St. Joseph Children’s Health, Ms. Beatriz follows previous visits by Pulitzer Prize winning Journalist Nikole Hannah-Jones, best-selling author Mitch Albom, Ambassador and Human Rights Advocate Samantha Power (virtual), former HUD Secretary Julián Castro, former RNC Chair and Maryland Lt.
